Stella

Here is another quick make and it is a Stella creation.  Stella comes from Craftsuprint and is the brainchild of Carol Smith, if you fancy getting your hands on one of the Stella creations go to the link for Carol and you will see loads of her Stella creations.  Stella always makes everyone smile.  She has a face for all occasions.  Go on and have a look.

(Just so that I get everything right about the image, I would like to explain - The design/copyright of the sheet belongs to Carol Smith the artwork used to make the sheet is the copyright of bugaboostamps. Carol has purchased the artwork and the right to use the art in her designs for commercial use from bugaboo.)

The only thing that I did with Stella was to put glitter on her hair, I attached 4 bigger (sticky) sparkly brads and put a silver sticky border round the full card.

The sentiment came with the card and I thought it was wonderful and so true for many,

"You know you're getting older when .... You're sure everything you can't find is in a secure safe place somewhere".

I know that this sentiment describes me to a T, I don't know about anyone else. lol

New Baby Girl

Another card that I have just finished is this Baby Girl card.  There was a lot of cut out that had to be done for this card, as the amount of decoupage that had to be completed was never-ending.  Although, once it was finished it did look quite pretty.

For embellishments to the card, I added small flowers round the insides of the card and various pieces of decoupage.  I used Cosmic Shimmer, Glitter Jewels, Icicle Sparkles rather than just a glitter.  This glitter is my new best friend along with Cosmic Shimmer, Specialist Acrylic Glue.  I must admit at the moment anything that has Cosmic Shimmer on it, is a friend of mine.  So anyway, enough of the talking, here is my card.  (Again, I am sorry that the pictures haven't come out the way that I wanted them to, but I hope that you can see enough of the card to see how lovely it turned out by the end).

I do hope that you like my card and that you can see where I have put all the amazing sparkles.

Bronze Lady

Good afternoon everyone, I bet everyone thought I had gone for good, well no, sorry I am back.

I have just recently got my laptop back, and there were more problems after having got it back and it is has been nothing short of a nightmare trying to get things sorted out the way I wanted them to.

I still have a few things that have to be sorted, although I think I am getting there now, hopefully.  Well, my weekend has been spent trying to download copious amounts of software and I know that I still have a lot to do with the laptop.  I am hoping that I will be able to start uploading a couple of the cards that I have been trying to get finished and that it will not cause me any problems.

A slight problem that I have is the fact that I don't know how to put my watermark on to my pics, I am using Serif PhotoPlus to try and edit my cards, but since I haven't used this before this is another learning curve that I am trying to get through.  So if anyone knows how to add my watermark, could you please let me know. (if you are using PhotoPlus software).

Also, if anyone knows of any other software that is easy to use to edit pics etc, I would be grateful if you could let me know please.

I have to apologise for the photographs, as they really aren't very good, I could probably have done better, but with the hassles I have been having with the laptop I am afraid that my concentration was not on photographing.  So sorry for this.

The first card that I have finished is a 'Bronze/Gold Beauty', I matted the card with gold coloured card and then a gold coloured mirri card.  On top of that I decoupaged a rather slinky looking female and used Cosmic Shimmer - Glitter Jewels - Icicle Sparkles to put some sparkle into her.
My sentiment was from a magazine that I subscribe to 'Hope this Special Day is filled with Sunshine'.  I didn't add any further embellishment onto this card as I felt that the Icicle Sparkle did it justice.  I hope that you are able to see the sparkle on her headband, roses and bracelets.  The decoupage lady was from one of my magazines and I thought she was lovely to create as a card.

I do hope that you like my card as much as I enjoyed doing it.

Teddy Bears

Hi everyone

Today, I was out on my decking and noticed that my Teddy Bear Sunflowers were looking absolutely beautiful, so I thought I would share a few pictures of them with you.  I also took a couple of pictures of other little flowers, which I don't know the name of. (sorry)

So here are my pictures

I hope that you like my Teddy Bear Sunflowers.

Hallelujah!!!!

Hi bloggie friends, I have finally got my laptop back from the team who were fixing my laptop.

It came back as good as, if not better than it was when it went away.  WOOHOO

I am now trying to get everything sorted on the laptop, software that hasn't been downloaded etc. Everything (software) was deleted in order for them to take it all back to factory settings, at least I had a hard drive which I was able to give them and where they saved all of my documents, files, folders and pictures onto.  So that was a blessing.

My only problem is, trying to remember all of the software that I had on my laptop.  I never even thought of taking a list of software before I sent the laptop away to get fixed.  Silly woman.

I know that I have to download everything for my printer, I have Java to install, Serif, there are quite a few other things which I will have to try and remember.

If anyone has any other ideas of things that I should have, which I may have forgotten about, do you think you could leave me a message and tell me. lol

I have made a couple of little cards which I will post tomorrow as the light isn't very great now, so I will take the pictures tomorrow just to let you see.

I will be back soon to post what I need to, so I will see you all again soon.

Bit by the Bug Beginnings: Another Bug is Born

You are going to want to go and visit Creative Bug on the Loose today because a new Bug has been born. Naomi is sharing with the world her newest release:

Ladybug Layover

Here is the gift tag I've created to show off Naomi's latest digi...

I decided this time to go for a gift tag rather than a card. I created the gift tag by using an Opulent Oval Spellbinders die, I coloured the outside of the die with a Sakura Glaze Turquoise coloured pen.

I then put 12 little blue coloured flowers round the outside of the image. My image was coloured with both red watercolour pencils and red Promarker pens, the ladybug also had two heart gems attached at the top of her antennae and two googly eyes so that she could see where she was going better. If you click on the image it will bring it up in the lightbox and you will be able to see more detail.

Her baby on top of her back was done in a lighter red, as they only go darker the older they get.

I then stuck a silver Thank You along the bottom and attached a blue and white checked ribbon to attach it to a parcel.

To learn more about this image and also find out how you could win a copy of it, make sure you head on over to Creative Bug on the Loose and follow the directions that have been laid out. Entering to win is super simple. You don’t want to miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Update

Good evening my bloggie friends,  I have managed to get a hold of my son's laptop to update a few things tonight.

My laptop has now gone into get fixed and I don't know how long it will be gone for, the insurance will cover all the repair costs which is something.  However, the last time it had gone in to be fixed it was away for about 3 months!!!!  I only hope it isn't away that long this time.  I will borrow my son's laptop when I can, but it certainly won't be as long as I had my own.  So I may not be able to post things when I like.

First two disappointments for me are, I had agreed to be a DT on Beyond Grey and Lady Anne's Christmas Challenge, however, due to the fact that I haven't been very well lately I didn't think it would be fair of me to continue with these positions.  I felt that I would let people down and that is the last thing that I would have wanted, as I do not like to let anyone down.  So I thought it best to decline these offers and let the wonderful ladies who run these blogs get someone else who would be able to offer more of their time that I could.

At least I took ill with my MS before I got too involved in either of these blogs and it made me realise that I really shouldn't have taken on these roles and that I was just too quick to make the decision.

So for this, I apologise to both of these blogs for accepting before I had really thought about it.

I wish both blogs the greatest of successes and I would ask that you all support these blogs by joining in their challenges.

Bit By the Bug Tuesday: "Beach Bug"

It is time for another Bit By the Bug Tuesday. The day where I introduce you all to the newest freebies over at Creative Bug on the Loose. This week we have...

"Beach Bug"

Here is my card ....

All the papers and embellishments came from a magazine that I subscribe to.  I cut out the top of a Big Top tent, a balloon and a 'Have Fun' sentiment.  The yellow 'lace like' border is actually self-adhesive Craft Lace made of paper.  It is very quick and easy to use.  I then used foam letters to put Happy Birthday vertically down the left hand side.

This little bug is having the time of her life making sandcastles and looking forward to having a dip in the ocean soon.

So, what are you waiting for? To take advantage of this sweet image, head on over to Creative Bug on the Loose and follow the instructions on how to bring this cute little guy home with you. While you are over there, don't forget to check out all the great digis Naomi has available in the store for purchase and don't forget to leave her a little love too.

I've caught the bug,

Little ole me

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all having a fantastic weekend and that the sun is shining brightly for you as it is for me.  This weather is absolutely glorious and I really don't want it to finish.

I am having major problems with my laptop and I am going to have to take it into the repair shop as it is not doing what it is told.  So I thought it better to tell you, that I might not be around for a while and won't be able to post anything for a while. Unless I can borrow a laptop from somewhere, but even at that I won't be able to get access to all of my documents.  I just hope that they are able to save everything that I have saved on my laptop and that they don't have to take it back to factory settings, that would be awful.  I am going to try and schedule some things that have to go out, and I probably won't have my laptop back by then, so hopefully it will work.

So fingers crossed for me, and I can only hope it is nothing too disastrous.  At least I have insurance on it and they would have to give me a new laptop if it is broken.  We will have to wait and see what happens though.

So I will be back as soon as I can.

For your enjoyment (lol) and a bit of hilarity, my mum and I were looking through some old photographs the other night (not them all as it would have taken too long), just some of them.  We came across a couple of - yup - you know who .....................................  ME!!!!   So I thought I would post them for you, to see how cute I was or 'pug ugly'. lol

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.

My very first picture of me starting school.
I look a bit windswept, I don't know why they do this to children, they wait until they have been in school the whole day, their hair is messed up, their shirt doesn't look as if it has been ironed for about a month, their ties aren't straight and they look dirty.  Their mum's aren't there to fix  (well that is my excuse) lol

Here I am aged about nearly 2, digging in the most horrid beach imaginable. lol
I think we were on a day trip away to Saltcoats, which at that time the beach really wasn't very nice, as it was mostly shale and dirt!!

Anyway, I have given you a little insight to my childhood, who knows maybe I will post some other childhood pictures for you to see once I come across some more.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cute cards 2

Here is the second card that I made from the 'freebies' that I got from a card subscription.

I hope that you like both of my little cute cards, although the second one has 'crinkles' in the paper, so I wasn't happy about that.
