When I took the card over to my Dad's house he was over the moon with it, and said that he couldn't have asked for a nicer card. I am so glad that he liked it.

Dad's Birthday
Today is my Dad's birthday and obviously I wanted to make him a birthday card. I haven't been feeling too well of late and things just seemed to fall at my feet and my Dad's birthday was here and I hadn't even made the card. So this morning I made him a card, not exactly the card that I had in mind, but at least it was made by me with love.
When I took the card over to my Dad's house he was over the moon with it, and said that he couldn't have asked for a nicer card. I am so glad that he liked it.

Bit by the Bug Tuesday - Marcella
It is time for another Bit By the Bug Tuesday. The day where I introduce you all to the newest freebies over at Creative Bug on the Loose. This week we have...
Here is my card ...........
I coloured the image of Marcella with Promarkers and I used Pinflair Craft Glaze in order to give her a little shine, which I don't know whether or not you can see it. I put two different coloured borders at the top and the bottom of the card and used self adhesive stickers around the monkey.
So, what are you waiting for? To take advantage of this sweet image, head on over to Creative Bug on the Loose and follow the instructions on how to bring this cute little Mortimer monkey home with you. While you are over there, don't forget to check out all the great digis Naomi has available in the store for purchase and don't forget to leave her a little love too.

Free Craft Downloads
Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that maybe even the sun is shining for you. Although the sun is shining here today, it is still extremely cold. I think that our summer sun has definately gone for the season and we are now entering into the colder weather. Oh well, at least we had a few weeks of glorious sun for a change.
Just to let you all know that the Free Craft Downloads site has just put on loads and loads of new papers, they have cartoon cows, female dragons, various new names and an abundance of new Christmas papers, just what everyone is looking for.
Here are a couple of samples although it is not the full paper as you will have to go to the Free Craft Downloads site to get them. They have some really great papers on the site this time, so why not go and have a look and see what you can get from the site, it really is a great site for freebie papers.

Blue card
Good 'Sunday morning' to everyone, I hope that wherever you are the sun is shining and you are looking forward to doing something nice today. Our weather today is rather drab and it looks like the rain is on it's way.
My Sunday is just a typical one, ironing my sons' work uniform, maybe tidy away some crafting things as at the moment I cannot find a single solitary thing!!! First things first though, get this posting onto my blog.
I created this card using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Medallion One, I followed making this card with Christina Griffiths, from Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls. She put this tutorial onto Card Making World, but Christina used Medallion Seven. As I don't have Medallion Seven, I thought that I would try it out with Medallion One. I must admit I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
I used a 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 card (odd size I know, but this was a set of blank cards that I got from one of the craft fairs that I went to). I cut out a smaller piece of pearlescent card to act as a layer for the card, I then tied ribbon round each corner and then stuck down this piece of card onto the main card.
I then embossed the main die onto a (nearly) 10cm x 10cm piece of blue card and then die-cut a full piece so that I could put this behind the embossed (cut out) piece of paper. I then die-cut a white piece of card and die-cut a full piece so that I could put this behind the white card. Once I had stuck these pieces down to where they were going, I added a blue crystal to the white die-cut and white pearls to the blue embossed pieces. To finish of the card, I attached 9 smaller pearls down the left hand side of the card and a small sentiment in blue and white card, 'For You'.
This card didn't take all that long to make and it was a pleasure finishing it so that I could see what it looked like.

My sock monkey
I thought as Creative Bug on the Loose were having a Mega Monkey Mania theme with their freebies and new images of sock monkeys that I would take a picture of one of my sock monkeys, he was used on an advert for Tea bags. So he really is a celebrity monkey. He has pride of place at the end of my bed along with a couple of other monkey friends.
Why not pop on over and have a look at Naomi's shop full of images, as I am sure that there will be something that will take your fancy.

Yellow Pearl
Here is a very quick post that I put together using 5 x 7 Enchanted Labels 28 and Decorative Labels 28.
All I did was emboss the large die from Enchanted Labels and then put on top the largest and the second largest of the Decorative Labels 28. I tied a yellow ribbon round the smallest of the decorative labels 28 and then tied a ribbon and put that on top. I then attached a pearl dazzler, which I coloured in yellow with my promarkers. I then attached a few smaller pearls, again coloured with promarkers.

Sports Car Birthday Card
I was asked by a friend of mine to make a birthday card for her hubby, all she wanted on it was an older style sports car. She came up with the verse herself as she wanted it to be something special for him.
The card was done with decoupage and once I had decoupaged what needed to be done, I then covered it Pinflair Craft Glaze in order to give it quite a high shine. I hope she will be happy with what I have done, as it was the easiest card that I have ever made.
