Winnings - WOOHOO

Good afternoon everyone, just thought I would let you know of a couple of prizes that I have won over the past two days.

I have won the International prize, which is a signed piece of Art by Mont Marte Joe.

Panel 1

I really don't mean to sound ignorant and mean, but could someone please tell me a bit more about this artist.

My other prize that I have won, which I am excited about was with the

SNR Magazine/The Art Studio

I won one of (ten) $30 Gift Certificates to put towards classes which I am so excited about, there are so many different classes to dwell over and I haven't decided yet which one or two or maybe even three that I want to do.

Fortunately, there is no time limit as to when I can use this gift certificate.

Bit by the Bug Tuesday - Mortimer

It is time for another Bit By the Bug Tuesday. The day where I introduce you all to the newest freebies over at Creative Bug on the Loose. This week we have...

Mortimer

Here is my card ...........

I coloured the image of Mortimer with Promarkers and I added a little red raffia scarf around his neck.  The background papers came from my stash that I won from Creative Creations and the Monkey Mania was one that I made myself from the Free Craft Downloads site.  The border was also from the Creative Creations.  I then finished off the card with 3 buttons at the top left and the bottom right, with a sentiment saying, "Happy Birthday".

So, what are you waiting for? To take advantage of this sweet image, head on over to Creative Bug on the Loose and follow the instructions on how to bring this cute little Mortimer monkey home with you. While you are over there, don't forget to check out all the great digis Naomi has available in the store for purchase and don't forget to leave her a little love too.

I've caught the Bug, have you?

New Website

Hi everyone, I came across a new website which I have never saw before and I thought I would let you know about it.  I saw this website in one of my magazines  -  Creative Cardmaking.

It is called Wordle and you can create jumbles of words as a background paper or otherwise.  I have tried using it and I thought it was really good, especially if I had lost my 'mojo' which at the moment I have.

I really am not too well at the moment and I won't be online as often as I was.  I am being limited on the time I am allowed to be online. (Long story ladies and maybe gents).

I will try when I can and put somethings onto my page.

I have attached a little sample of what I 'created' using Wordle, you could either use it as a background, or as an actual card, it could be embossed if you wanted.  Your imagination knows no bounds, so go ahead and give it a try, you never know it might end up being something that you use all the time.

The layout can be changed as you can 'jumble' the words and you can change colours and background etc.  Just go visit and have a look and see what you think.

Baby Box

I am going to enter my Baby Boy box into The Craft Spot - Monday Challenge #109 - 3D!!  This week's challenge is 3D items (Any 3 dimensional paper crafted item)

This project was a pleasure to make,  I started with the insides of the box first and put together the plinths in order for everything else to fit onto.  Once the plinth was created, I then put together the inside frame of the box and then I completed the decoupage parts of the project.
Once the inside of the box had been created, I went ahead and put crystals in various parts of the box and used various types of glitter to make it sparkle.  Once all the pieces had been put together, I then created an acetate box in order to protect the inside from dust.  On the outside of the box, I then created a gift tag with a baby on it.  The whole box was created with a template, but even with the template it still took a long time to make and it really was a pleasure.

I am unsure as to whether or not this card actually fits with this challenge,
but I will give it a go anyway, here's hoping.

Freebie Papers

Hi everyone, here are a couple of freebie papers that I made on the site FREE CRAFT DOWNLOADS - Make your own backing paper

As well as having a space where you can make your own backing papers, it also has loads of backing papers ready for you to use, it has decoupage, pyramage, labels, frames anything that you can think of that a crafter uses.  So why not go and have a look and see whether or not you fancy trying your hand at making your own backing papers or tiles or toppers.

Here are the simple papers that I made today,

To The One I Love

Little monsters

To The One I Love

Merry Christmas to You

So help yourself to the papers and if you like go and try out the site
and see what you can create.

There is also another site which you may want to go and visit it is called
Mint Printables    They have printable stationery, gift cards, boxes etc, so pop off and have a look, you never know you might be pleasantly surprised.

Image Info:
This paper was created using the Backing Paper Generator over at Free Craft Downloads.  You may use this paper in creations that you make by hand for personal use only.  Please credit Jennifer Swandells when doing so.
